Our Story

Parkers Jumbo Hot Dogs Stand.jpg

The early days in Santa Cruz

Parker's Hot Dogs began its journey in the picturesque beach town of Santa Cruz, California.

It all began in the late 1940s when Parker Wilson set up (what would become) a busy little hot dog stand named "Parker's Jumbo Dogs" in the Santa Cruz Boardwalk area.

Parker's Jumbo Dogs eventually relocated and by 1955 was well established as a local favorite in Capitola, California.

Our move to Roseville

Parker passed away in the 1970's but his Son, John Parker, continued the legacy and opened Parker's Hot Dogs of Santa Cruz in Roseville, California in 1997.

John was committed to using the original recipes and nothing but the highest quality fresh ingredients.

Parker's Hot Dogs of Santa Cruz has since become a landmark in the Roseville area and a local's favorite for over three decades now.

Parker's prides itself in only serving 100% all beef hot dogs in their natural casing so that when we steam them you experience the beloved snap.

Our dedication to quality has since paid off, as we were featured on the Travel Channel's popular show “Man v. Food” where Adam Richmond took on our Chili Dog Challenge!
